About Studio BOXQ
Ideas That Move
In the Studio
MA Design Future Society, BA Product/ Object Design: Hi, I’m Mariya, founder of Studio BOXQ. For me, design is not just a tool; it’s a mindset. It’s about the courage to see things differently and the power to reshape them. Whether through workshops, projects, or visions – I create solutions that last.

The studio
Studio BOXQ has a permanent base in Bochum – and a mobile studio that originally started as a repurposed van (license plate “BO-XQ”). This allows me to work not only in my office but also anywhere I need to be – running Upcycling or Forest Design Workshops or analyzing sites and projects on location. Equipped with a workspace, sleeping area, and a small kitchen, it’s more than just a studio – it’s a space for ideas that move.
Whether workshops, analyses, or on-site projects – I stay flexible and work wherever the connection between people and nature can create forward-thinking solutions.
