On the road
Studio BOXQ is not a place.
It is a way of working.
I work on the move because thinking changes when places change, when perspectives shift, when movement becomes part of the process.
Creative education and conceptual design belong where they are needed — not in a fixed location.
Being on the move means: looking more closely, deciding more slowly, producing less — and understanding more.
On the move, Studio BOXQ enables creative education, conceptual design, and field research where they are needed.
Working in nature is a deliberate choice: it supports focus, shifts in perspective, and a different quality of development.

What “on the move”
means here
Working while travelling means to me:
-
breaking out of routines
-
working directly in real-world contexts
-
being closer to people, places, and behaviours
Many ideas for new stations do not originate at a desk. They emerge outdoors – while walking, observing, and changing perspectives.
Studio BOXQ makes exactly that possible.
A workspace on
four wheels.
Studio BOXQ is not a symbol. It is a fully equipped mobile studio.
Within it, I develop:
-
educational formats
-
conceptual design approaches
-
stations along clearly defined routes
And I bring this work to where it is needed:
-
to organisations
-
into educational contexts
-
into public spaces
-
into natural environments
Work does not happen in one place. It emerges through the interaction of context, questions, and people.
At the wheel: Mascha.
Accompanied by Fred.
I’m Mascha.
A multidisciplinary designer and creative educator.
I work conceptually, research-driven, and practice-oriented
at the intersection of design, education, and societal change.
Studio BOXQ is my mobile studio — not as a brand, but as part of my everyday life and my way of working.
Fred is part of this too (my furry companion). Not as a concept, not as a symbol, but as a quiet presence along the way.
On the move
The way I work emerges from being on the move:
-
observation rather than assumption
-
context rather than abstraction
-
stations rather than campaigns
This is why the routes work:
-
Creative Education
-
Conceptual Design
not in isolation, but embedded in real situations.
